山形・文翔館の魅力～歴史とスイーツ～

　みなさんこんにちは！インターンシップ生の田中瑞葵（たなかみずき）です。今回は、私が生まれ育った街、山形市にある歴史的な建物「文翔館」を紹介します！

　文翔館は山形駅からバスで約10分ほど、山形市役所の近くにあり、50年ほど前までは県庁舎・県議事堂として使用されていました。西洋風の建築が特徴的で、建物の中に入ると、赤カーペットが敷かれた大きな階段があります。この存在感には圧倒されました！この階段を上ると、来賓のもてなし等に使われた部屋があり、金色の装飾が施されたとても豪華な椅子や細かく彫刻の入った天井、シャンデリアなど現代の建物とは大きく違った建築を見ることができます。ほかにも当時の資料や部屋が多くあり、当時の雰囲気だけでなく山形の歴史を学ぶこともできます。併設されたカフェでスイーツを楽しむのもおすすめです。

　Hello, everyone! I am Mizuki Tanaka, an internship student. Today, I will introduce to you a historical building in my hometown, Yamagata City called “Bunsyokan.”

　”Bunsyokan” is located about ten minutes from Yamagata Station and near Yamagata City Office. It had been used as the former prefectural office and assembly hall 50 years ago. Now, it is well-known for its western architecture. When you enter the building, you will immedietly notice large staircase covered with a red carpet. I was impressed with its grand presence. Going upstairs, you can find a gorgeous room that was used for hosting guests, where luxurious chairs decorated in gold are placed orderly. Also, its ceiling has elaborate carvings and a chandelier, which is totally different from the architecture of today’s Japan. There are also many materials and many rooms and you can learn the history of Yamagata, as well as enjoy the regal atmosphere of that time. I also recommend the cafe attached to this building.
