こんにちは、山形県庁インターンシップ生の佐藤です。今回は、先日鶴岡市で開催された第 32 回赤川花火大会の様子をお伝えします。

　この日は晴れて天気に恵まれました。会場には電車で向かいましたが、駅で降りた瞬間から花火の音が響いてきて、ワクワクが止まりませんでした。川沿いの空いっぱいに広がる光と音の演出はまさに圧巻の一言です。隣で見ていたのは外国人の方でしたが、日本の花火を楽しんでいる様子をみて嬉しくなりました。小さい子からお年寄りの方まで幅広い年代の人が国を超えて楽しめるのが花火の魅力ですよね。当日はテレビで生中継されていたようで、その人気の高さを実感しました。会場は完全チケット制で買うことができなかったため、会場から少し離れたところから見ていましたが、離れたところからでも多くの人が観戦していて、地域全体が花火大会を楽しもうという熱気に包まれていました。フィナーレは本当に圧巻で、次々と打ちあがる花火が夜空いっぱいに広がり、その美しさは思わず声が出るほどです。写真や動画もたくさん撮りました。言葉では表せないほど感動的で、最高の思い出になりました。

　山形で留学している人には、日本ならではの夏を体感できる絶好の機会です。ぜひ赤川の花火を見に来てください。私は、来年こそはチケットをゲットして、会場内の屋台や迫力ある花火を楽しみたいです。

　I am Sato, an intern at the Yamagata Prefectural Office. Recently, I went to the Akagawa Fireworks Festival in Tsuruoka City for the first time. The weather was very good that day. I took the train to the venue, and as soon as I got off at the station, the loud sounds of fireworks filled the air, and I couldn’t contain my excitement.

　The light and sound spreading across the sky by the river was truly breathtaking. Next to me was a foreigner who seemed to be enjoying the Japanese fireworks, which made me happy. The charm of fireworks is that people of all ages, from young children to the elderly, can enjoy them across countries.

　I heard that the event was broadcast live on television, which made me realize its popularity. The venue had a ticketing system, but I couldn’t buy a ticket as they were sold out, so I watched from a location a bit far from the venue. Even from a distance, there were a lot of people, and the entire region was filled with a spirit of enjoying the fireworks festival.

　The finale was truly amazing. Fireworks bursting one after another filled the night sky. It was beautiful enough to take your breath away. I took a lot of photos. Their beauty was overwhelming and beyond words. It became a wonderful memory.

　For those studying abroad in Yamagata, this is a perfect opportunity to experience Japanese summer. Please come and see the fireworks at Akagawa! Next year, I want to get a ticket and enjoy the food stalls within the venue and watch the fireworks up close.
